I set out in 2007 to change the way I lived and fill my life with meaningful projects to find the lifestyle that makes my wife and I happiest. At the start, I believed that would encompass a change from employment to creative entrepreneurship but in 2011 I finally realised that I love my career so it remains my financial base. Stepping back from the precipice of self-employment, I examined my private life to understand what I enjoy and identify where my life path has taken me away from those pleasures.
In 2012 the self-examination is giving way to action, and I have set myself a number of projects to complete this year. Some projects are designed to develop new habits while others will focus on developing new or improving old skills through practical application. By focussing on developing my skills and trying new activities, I will reduce the time wasted in front of the television, and cram more fun into every day.
